What is the Java programming language?

Java is a general-purpose computer programming language that is concurrent, class-based, object-oriented, and specifically designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible. Java applications are usually compiled to byte-code (class file) that can run on any Java Virtual Machine (JVM).

What is the use of Java?

Java is expressly designed for use in the distributed environment of the internet. It is also used to create applications on computers. You can view the use of Java when you’ve downloaded/ start accessing a program that requires the Java run-time, and so you probably have it installed it on your system. We use Java from laptops to data centers, game consoles to scientific supercomputers, cell phones to the Internet, Java is everywhere!
